The book, Secrets of the Aether, by David Thomson and Jim Bourassa, is one of the most interesting I have read in recent years. The pedagogical format, with the beautiful graphics, is downright entertaining. In my process of trying to assimilate the new paradigm, I'm forced to review that of the “standard model”. I have not mastered the new ideas of Thomson and Bourassa, and therefore cannot present a credible endorsement of them. But it is clear that they have impressive knowledge of the standard model, and that they are well qualified to criticize it. As I study the Secrets of the Aether, I'm forced to page back and forth to standard model books and publications. My knowledge of fundamental physics is refreshed; new views are engendered, and interesting alternatives to old concepts and formulations are suggested.

My experimental work has dealt extensively with the use of monoenergetic (“slow”) positron beams in practical analytical situations. I have high interest in theoretical concepts about the nature and source of positrons. Thomson and Bourassa present a fascinating paradigm that we in the experimental fields should consider, whether or not we eventually agree with it.

Best Regards,

Dr. Lester D. Hulett, Jr.

Dr. Lester D. Hulett, Jr. serves on our Advisory Board. He graduated from Louisiana State University with a Ph.D. degree in physical chemistry in 1959. He joined the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) research staff in 1960, retiring in 1999. The first 9 years at ORNL were spent in the Solid State Division, studying crystal growth and dissolution and radiation damage of solids. The next 30 years were in the Analytical Chemistry and Chemistry Divisions, performing both fundamental and applied research, using electron, x-ray and positron spectroscopy methods. Practical techniques for generating monoenergetic ("slow") positrons were discovered, which enabled the development of new methods for materials analysis and fundamental studies of positron-molecule interactions. With the help of his long-time collaborator, T. A. Lewis, an electrical engineer, the Oak Ridge Electron Linear Accelerator (ORELA) was retrofitted with a high intensity slow positron generator. Many new avenues for positron research were opened.

Aether Physics Model is front page news...

More is at: Gilberts Journal

The highly original ideas formulated in this work are clearly the fruits of many years of serious study and reflection. We live in an age in which values, worldviews and politics are changing at unmanageably fast rates. Each day brings not only fresh and unexpected news, but also revolutionary ideas and perspectives whose impacts no one can foresee. I see this book in this context. Not everyone will agree or accept everything stated in this book. But the book certainly deserves careful attention before passing judgment on it.

I believe your Quantum AetherDynamics hypothesis is right on track, and I believe that given further study of its correspondences with Helical Geometry would be a very worthwhile endeavor. To answer your question, what is apparent in these structures that I am now constructing is the potential for the physical formation of toroidal forms like your Helicoid Torus Model.

Note: James Jacobs is the inventor of Helical Geometry, a sculptor and lecturer, and a student of the natural minimal surface for over 25 years. His invention was awarded U.S. Utility Patent 4,449,348 in 1984. Helical Geometry is a 'field geometry', meaning its helical building panels with lattice surfaces represent a geometrical system of fields having helical, saddle-shaped form. Recent scientific evidence shows Helical Geometry to be the geometry of molecular and atomic structure. James earned a BS Degree at Bowling Green State University and attended the Cooper School of Art.

I found your Quantum AetherDynamics hypothesis novel, fascinating, and brilliant!

He received a B.A. degree in physics and applied mathematics from the University of California at Berkeley in 1976 and a Ph.D. in physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1983. Along the way, Dr. Jessen has taught physics and performed research at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and the University of Southern California. His current research field of specialization is quantum gravity and how it relates to unified field theory.

In my retirement, I did some readings on modern physics, from relativity to quantum mechanics, purely for my own enjoyment. When I read your writings on your web site, I was very much impressed. Knowing it is a hypothesis, but I feel this could be a correct one, and you are on something definitely has a potential of earth-shaking. All the great theories started with sound hypotheses. I am very much interested to learn more about it, and would like to follow its further development. I wish you a very successful future!

Best wishes and have a bright day,

Jim Bourassa is an intellectual explorer, daring to venture into waters mainstream physicists regard as their own preserve. His theories flout conventional wisdom to investigate a new paradigm of matter/energy relations. If he is right, his insights will change the way physicists-- and the rest of us-- view the world. Even if he is wrong, we can admire the courage and intelligence it takes to develop a theory like his. I have been privileged to share Jim's thoughts as we have collaborated on images depicting his theories. My role has been to try to envision the subtle and complex forms he believes exist on the level of quantum mechanics. I am far too unlearned in the subject matter to comment on whether he is right. Yet the simplicity and intellectual beauty of his concepts encourages a belief that he is on to something basic and profound. The forms are far too lovely to be entirely imaginary. Decades or centuries from now, Jim Bourassa's work may be seen as a prescient description of a new physics.

Jim, I was thrilled with your response to my initial e-mail asking how human emotion fits in, and what about 'God is love.' You said, "In my view, the Aether flowing through the human body IS emotion. When expressed, it is love. When blocked, it becomes neurotic. When stopped, death results. Modern society does much to block the flow of Aether. The brain is a vehicle for the Aether to express itself. The Aether in us looks out into the Universe, discovering it's true nature..." Thank you for those insights, so exquisitely and aptly expressed.

As an avid consumer of cutting edge science, I have long been a faithful reader of material with scientific content, physics in particular. By studying everything eclectically I had developed the ability to see how things fit together. When a solid and unmistakably fitted unified scientific picture evolved I knew I had seen what few others have, physical proof of the Aether, complete with a theory to describe and model the evidence, and it was breathtakingly thrilling! If you have not read the book you cannot even imagine how physics can define and quantify all layers of physical existence, including mental, emotional and spiritual experiences.

As a fellow human being, I can assure you that you will find the book one of the most intellectually stimulating and spiritually satisfying books you will ever read. The white paper, "A New Foundation of Physics" is the bare bones and raw treatment of micro and macro physics that leaves no stone unturned in those domains, in the end unifying them as no one else has. The book, the "Secrets of the Aether", contains material that all of humanity can appreciate, in that it offers those of us who are spiritually inclined and motivated concrete support and justification for being so.

Our hypothesis "emailed" to Galactic Internet:

On July 5, 2003 the abstract of this hypothesis was sent to 5 selected sun-like stars. This message was part of Cosmic Call 2003, the second ever public interstellar radio transmission, which was broadcast to these stars using a powerful radio astronomy dish in Ukraine. The target stars are in the constellations Orion, Cancer, Cassiopeia, Ursa Major, and Andromeda. Two of the stars – 55 Cancri and 47 Ursae Majoris (Target Stars 2 and 4) – have Jupiter-size planets orbiting them and may have Earth-sized planets in their solar systems.

It would be interesting to receive feedback from extraterrestrial intelligence in our Galactic Community.

Here is 47 Ursae Majoris, one of the target stars:
